Example: “اِنْتَظَروا اِبْنَهُم. لكِنَّهُ ما آضَ إلى الدّار”

Translation: “they waited for their son. But he didn’t return home”

Notes:

Have you noticed something familiar about the verbal noun (أيض) of this form I, hamzated and hollow verb? Doesn’t it look mightily similar to the common adverb أَيضًا (also, too)? Can you work out why?
