The Arabic Pages’ Vocabulary Lists

قائِمة

root: ق-و-م / noun / plural: قَوائِم or قائِمات / definition: list, table

When I first started this blog, I wasn’t entirely sure where The Arabic Pages would go or what it would become. But I did know that I eventually want to create and share Arabic learning resources.

Now, I’ve finally taken the first step towards that goal by creating a page on this blog to share my own vocabulary lists with you: Vocabulary Lists by Topic.

(You can access it whenever you like by clicking the “Vocabulary” option in the menu at the top of the page.)

The idea behind this is to create separate vocabulary lists organised by topic that can be used in a variety of ways.

For example: you can use them to find specific pieces of vocabulary you’re looking for (note: on a desktop, press Ctrl+F and search for a word) or study independently from them (each topic will also have a link to a separate vocabulary set on Quizlet to help you to revise).

I think they’ll also be useful for advanced students who are hoping to acquire more subject-specific terminology as they progress.

As you may notice, so far I’ve only uploaded a single vocabulary list—on the topic of literature—but a variety of lists are soon to come, on topics such as space and the environment. (I’m already excited to write them, to be honest! 😂)

So, do take a look at the new vocabulary list page (check back regularly!) and leave any feedback you may have in the comments below, including any specific topics that you’d like to see on that page in the future.

Enjoy!

!مع السلامة
