Example: “كِدْتُ أُقاطِعُها، لكِنَّها أَسَفَّتْ إلَيَّ النَّظَرَ فَصَمَتُّ”

Translation: “I was about to interrupt her, but she shot me a sharp look so I held my tongue”


Notes:

  • أَسَفَّ / يُسِفُّ is a form IV verb from the geminate root س-ف-ف
