Translation: “the political leaders once more gathered in the capital for another pointless round of discussions”
Notes:
- The noun دَهاقين is a plural form of دِهقان (“someone of importance, a leading personality”), said to be derived from Persian
- دهاقين is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف)—we’ve come across diptotes in several headline analyses and literature translations, but I’ll be writing a dedicated post about them soon!
