Resource: Free Arabic e-Books

مَجّانًا

root: م-ج-ن / adverb / definition: for free, without charge

Saying I had “errands to run” this morning feels very grown-up. Then I remember I’m 27, and I am a grown-up.

I somehow feel like my twenties are round-two of being a toddler: here I am, bobbing about, experiencing every new first with pitiful fascination and absurd determination.

I was just going to launch into a sentence about trying black rice for the first time today… before realising that if that is my latest fascination, then I must be very grown-up indeed.

Anyway, age is just a number and today is Tuesday—so let’s get on with writing this post.

What I wanted to share with you all today is a resource I mentioned last year in a members-only post: the free Arabic e-books on the Library of Arabic Literature website.

If you go to the list of their published books and scroll through, you’ll notice the majority of them are accompanied by links to download a PDF version—for free.

Ah, isn’t it a beautiful thing to find easily accessible Arabic books?

There are a variety of books available, so I’m sure you’ll find something to your taste.

(Should I link “taste” back to “black rice” for a nice circular structure, or should I quit while I’m ahead?)
