وراء الأكمة ما وراءها (warā’a) something’s fishy! there is more to it than meets the eye


Root: ء-ك-م

Page: 27*

Example: “!لا أَظُنُّ أَنَّ الأَمرَ بِهذِهِ البَساطة—وَراءَ الأَكَمةِ ما وَراءَها”

Translation: “I don’t think it’s that simple—there’s more to it than meets the eye!”


Notes:

  • The noun أَكَمة means “hill”, “reef”, or “heap”.
