زاد ضغثا على إبالة to make things worse

Example: “!وَما زادَ ضِغثاً على إبّالةٍ أَنَّها نَسِيَتْ اِسمَهُ”

Translation: “and what made matters worse is that she forgot his name!”


Notes:

  • ضِغث means “muddle” while إبّالة (which may also be spelt without the shadda: إبالة) means “bundle” or “bale”!
