ينام ملء جفنه (mil’a jafnihī) he sleeps the sleep of the just

Example: “عَلى الأَقَلّ يُمكِنُهُ أَنْ يَنامَ مِلْءَ جَفْنِهِ اللَّيلة، مُطمَئِنًّا مِن أَنَّهُ بَريء”

Translation: “at least he can sleep soundly tonight, knowing he’s not at fault”


Notes:

  • The phrase ينام ملء جفنه literally translates to “he sleeps to the fill of his eyelid”!
