برح الخفاء (ḵafā’) the matter has come out, has become generally known


Root: ب-ر-ح

Example: “لا جَدْوى مِنَ الهَمْسِ الآنَ، قَد بَرِحَ الخَفاء”

Translation: “there’s no point whispering now, everyone already knows”


Notes:

  • The form I verb بَرِحَ / يَبرَحُ means “to depart”, whilst خَفاء means “secrecy”!
