Example: “فَذلِكَ هُوَ السُّؤالُ الَّذي كانَت تَلوكُهُ الأَلسِنةُ في تِلكَ الفَترةِ المُقلِقة”
Translation: “so that was the question on everyone’s lips during that unsettling time”
Notes:
- The form I hollow verb لاكَ / يَلوكُ can mean either “to chew” or “to talk about something constantly”!
