Translation: “his words took root in her mind and she became unable to think of anything else”
Notes:
- The form IV verb أَرسَخَ / يُرسِخُ has an active meaning (i.e. “to make something take root”) but I translated it into English in the example sentence using a passive verb—simply because “his words took root” sounds more natural and is more easily understood than “he made his words take root”. But perhaps by doing this, we lose a significant part of the meaning… What do you think?
