Translation: “every time he met with her, he harped on about the same issue”
Notes:
- The form I verbs لَتَّ / يَلُتُّ and عَجَنَ / يَعجِنُ in this phrase both mean “to knead (dough)”—what a great mental image it conjures up!
- Under the entry for لَتَّ in the Hans Wehr, we’re given another possible translation for this phrase: “not to tire of raising a problem anew”
